Creating Payroll Entry And Salary Slip
- Click the button 'Add Payroll Entry'.
- Select the last date of the month.(Ex:31/07/2023)
- Frequency - Monthly.
- Make sure about the salary date range. (Ex:01/07/2023 - 31/07/2023)
- Select a particular payroll payable account for the particular employee. (Ex: Payroll payable -Basawaraj, Payroll payable -Nagaveni)
- Pull employee details.
- Save.
- Create ‘Salary slip’.
- Make sure about salary details from the salary slip, but don’t submit a salary slip. (Because it won’t create a Journal Entry)
- Instead, submit a salary slip from a particular ‘Payroll Entry’. (It creates ‘Journal Entry automatically’)
- Make sure for ‘Connections’.(Salary Slip and Journal Entry)
- Check the ‘Profit and Loss Statement’ for payroll expenses of the particular month.
- Check ‘Balance Sheet’ for Liability ‘Payroll Payable’.
- Check ‘General Ledger Report’ for debit and credit of payroll account (select date range).
- Click the ’ Make Bank Entry’ button in the payroll entry to create a journal entry once the salary payment is done.
(Posting date as per payment entry, ref date, and ref num as per bank statement)
